The Department of
Information and Computer Sciences at the University of Hawaii and the Hawaii
Tourism Authority recently sponsored the Aspirations in Computing Educator Award
to Deborah Kula, Sacred Hearts Academy's mathematics chair.
Students Michaela Graves, '16,
Malia Libby, '16 and Chloe Huang, '16 were recognized as Regional winners, and senior
Aimee Pak, '16 was announced as a National runner-up.
Aspirations in
Computing is an initiative of the National Center for Women and IT (NCWIT), and
the NCWIT Award is given to high school girls on their outstanding
computer-related achievements.
