Sacred Hearts Academy Early College Program Chaminade University, Fall 2018 |
Under the program, qualifying High School students enroll in select collegiate courses while completing their regular curriculum studies. This process earns a “dual credit” that applies to their High School graduation requirements while receiving college credits in the process.
Eight Academy students are currently enrolled in one of the many ECP courses, such as World Civilization, World Religions and Introduction to Expository Writing, which meets weekly on the campus of Chaminade University. In these courses, taught by CU faculty, the Academy participants are integrated with their collegiate students.
This semester, the Academy has 17 students enrolled in LCC’s ECP offering, Psychology, held on the Academy’s campus. During the spring semester, Academy students entered in the program will enroll in ICS101: Digital Tools for the Info World.
