Saturday, September 10, was a busy day for 120 teachers from 40 schools across Honolulu as they assembled in the Sacred Hearts Academy auditorium to learn from one of the best thinkers and leaders in educational technology – Alan November, co-founder of the Stanford Institute for Educational Leadership Through Technology.
Teachers learned how to
leverage technology to help students drive their own learning and give them the
tools to succeed. In addition to the keynote, teachers attended one of 12 sessions
offered such as Minecraft in Education, Virtual Reality, Google Classroom,
Photo/Literature Journaling, Creating Non-Fiction Books, Digital portfolios,
Google Forms, Breakout, Stop Motion Animation and Early Childhood and
Technology. Participants had the opportunity to network, dialogue and exchange
ideas and resources with fellow participants and the presenters.
