Traffic Alert & Important Information

August 31, 2016

Dear Parents and Guardians:

The news reports tell us that the President’s arrival will cause road closures in the afternoon as the President travels from
Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam to the East West Center on the University of Hawaii at Manoa campus.  The reports say that the road closures can begin as early as 4 p.m. and will affect all eastbound lanes of the H-1 and surface streets from the airport area to Manoa.
If you travel eastbound from any of these areas to get to Sacred Hearts Academy to pick up your daughters, please take into consideration these traffic advisories and plan accordingly.  The report goes on to note that from about 5 p.m. or 6 p.m. , the closures will be Westbound as the President leaves Manoa.  Please continue to check the news reports throughout the day.

Wednesday dismissal at Sacred Hearts will be at usual:  1:00 for grades JK-6 and 1:15 for grades 7-12.

Please consider early pick up for After School Care Children even though our staff will be on duty until 6:00 p.m.  Early College classes have been postponed.  Athletic Director Ryan Hogue will be communicating to parents in the next few hours concerning sport practices and games.
