Academy Teachers Attend Southwest Conference on Language Teaching

On Friday, March 4th, several Sacred Hearts Academy Language teachers attended the Southwest Conference on Language Teaching (SWCOLT) in Waikiki. The conference featured a diverse array of presentations from teachers, companies, and embassies from the United States and abroad. Our teachers had the opportunity to network with other  teachers from all over the United States and gain valuable insight into the future direction of the Academy's World Language Program. The presentations emphasized the need to make language education memorable and relevant in an ever-changing world, specifically addressing the need for curriculum that focuses on students’ interests and is set in the context of 21st century skills. Information gleaned from this conference will be invaluable to the further development of the World Language Program at Sacred Hearts.
