On Wednesday January 6, Sacred
Hearts Academy hosted it’s annual Alumnae Forum. Over 40 graduates attending over 18 different universities and colleges eagerly returned to campus to participate. Each alumna shared their college experiences with
current Academy 7-12 grade students; fielding questions about the application process,
financial aid, scholarship research, class format and grading, mainland issues,
dormitory life, activities, food, transportation concerns (e.g car or bicycle),
and high school to college adjustments.
After the forum, the graduates had a great time talking up a
storm among themselves while having brunch with their former teachers and mentors.
At recess the graduates manned tables around the second floor lanai areas of the Academy's administration building for a mini college fair with Academy students asking questions about the
respective colleges.
