Sacred Hearts Academy Bowlers roll another strike towards States


 
The Academy Varsity bowling squad wrapped up an undefeated season at 30-0 with a 3-0 victory over Island Pacific Academy on October 15 in the regular-season league finale at Hickam Bowling Center.

With the win, the bowlers claimed the overall team Interscholastic League of Honolulu (ILH) Championship and qualified for State Tournament competition in Kona from October 29th through November 1st.
               
Team title in-hand, the bowlers competed in the Jared Kaufmann Memorial Tournament on October 21, 22 and 24 to determine the league’s singles and doubles
champions.

The Lancer bowlers dominated in doubles’ competition with seniors Hailey Ganiron and Caitlin Cunningham repeating as defending ILH doubles champions for the third consecutive year. Teammates Leeyanah Santos and Cameron Pires took fifth place, while Desiree Batangan and Kehaulani Ho rounded out the top ten.

In singles competition, Ganiron placed fifth overall, and Cunningham was eighth.

The Sacred Hearts Academy bowling team is guided by Head Coach Allen Wallace.
