Soroptimist Club Rings Bells for Red Kettle Drive

The Soroptimist "S" Club members were out in force as they helped with the Salvation Army Red Kettle Drive on Saturday, December 13 at the Longs Drug and Safeway location on Vineyard Blvd. The club members rang the bells all day and collected monies from not only adults, but children as well. Monies collected will help the many Salvation Army's community programs for the families in need.

"S" Club assists Soroptimist Fundraiser

"S" Club assists Soroptomist Fundraiser
Shajaira Fiesta, Tiana Wong, Janelle Medrano, Kayla Galima, Chloe Huang
and can you guess which one is Mr. Fong?
Throughout history women and girls have faced additional obstacles and discrimination solely because of gender.  Sacred Hearts Academy students have an "S" Club, sponsored by the Soroptimist International of Waikiki.  Mentored by these outstanding ladies (and a few men), the Academy students feel uniquely qualified to help women and girls live their dreams.

Recently, the "S" Club assisted at the Soroptimist fundraiser at Ala Moana Hotel;  they were joined by their advisor and college counselor, Randy Fong, aka Frankenstein.

A 'spookingly' time was had by all!

The Academy Soroptimist Club, also known as the "S" Club, is a leadership and community service organization. Members serve their school and community through participation in various service activities, such as painting over neighborhood graffiti, working with the elderly at the Franciscan Day Care Center, ushering at University of Hawai'i plays and Adopt-a-Highway clean-up projects.
